Releases and Arrivals

The warmer temperatures mark the beginning of our busy season. The release of over-wintered patients occurs just as the new patients are arriving! Our releases last year went very well. The excitement displayed by a released animal will always remain special and the required dose of inspiration to continue this challenging, yet rewarding work.

Release Day is a joyful time for everyone!

The telephone rings often with wildlife inquiries. One of the most important aspects of our work is public eduction. Countless birds and mammals have been successfully returned to their parents when the “rescuer” receives the much-needed advice and knowledge. We handle all our requests with patience, kindness and respect; after all, the call is generally a cry for help out of concern.
